Reach Terms & Conditions
Version 1.1 | 19 October 2026
About these terms
These terms apply to your use of the Reach app, including messaging, calls, account tools and connectivity features that are available to you.
By selecting the agreement checkbox and continuing, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not continue with onboarding.
Your account
Provide accurate registration information and use only a phone number and account you are authorised to use.
Keep your device, verification codes and sign-in details secure. Do not share one-time passwords or impersonate another person.
Tell Reach through the app's support options if you suspect unauthorised access. If you use Reach for an organisation, you must have authority to act for it.
Users under 18 and parental or guardian consent
If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian before registering for or using Reach. Your parent or legal guardian must review these terms and the Privacy Policy with you, agree to your use of Reach, and provide any consent required for the processing of your personal information. Do not continue with registration or use the service without that permission.
You must also meet any minimum age or other eligibility requirement imposed by applicable law or a particular service; parental permission does not override those requirements.
A parent or legal guardian who authorises a child's use must be legally competent to give that permission and should supervise the child's use, including contact discovery, messaging, media and location sharing, and access to paid services.
Users under 18 must obtain the parent or guardian's authorisation before making purchases, redeeming vouchers or using wallet features where that authorisation is required. Do not use another person's payment method without permission.
A child's acceptance checkbox or device permission alone does not establish parental or guardian consent to processing the child's personal information. Where such consent is required, it must be obtained from the parent, legal guardian or other person legally competent to consent before that processing takes place.
Reach may request reasonable verification of age or authority to consent, and may restrict access if a required permission cannot be established.
Parents or guardians may request withdrawal of consent or raise concerns through Reach's published privacy contact channels. Where consent is withdrawn, processing that relies on it must stop, subject to lawful retention requirements and any other lawful basis that applies.
If you cannot legally enter this agreement for another reason, you must obtain the assistance and permission required by applicable law.
Acceptable use
Use Reach lawfully and respect other people. Do not use it for fraud, harassment, threats, spam, exploitation, unlawful content or infringement of others' rights.
Do not distribute malware, bypass access controls, access accounts without permission, interfere with the service or misuse network resources.
Report abusive behaviour through available reporting or support options.
Your messages and content
You retain your rights in content you share. You must have permission to share it and remain responsible for it. You give Reach only the permission needed to handle that content to provide the features you choose, subject to the Privacy Policy.
Recipients may copy or forward content. Take care when sharing personal information, location or confidential material.
Removing content from your device may not remove copies held by recipients or in backups.
Privacy and device permissions
The Reach Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled and how to exercise privacy rights. These terms do not replace that policy or provide blanket consent to optional processing.
Features may request access to contacts, notifications, microphone, camera, photos or location. You can manage permissions in your device settings; denying access may limit the relevant feature. Only share other people's information when you are authorised to do so.
Contact synchronisation and location sharing are optional. You can stop live location sharing using the app's sharing controls.
Revoking a device permission prevents further access under that permission but does not automatically erase information already processed or copies already received by others.
Privacy rights, deletion requests, retention and international transfers are addressed in the Privacy Policy and remain subject to applicable law, including South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Calls, translations and backups
Calls and messages depend on network coverage, compatible devices and service availability. Reach must not be relied on for emergency communications; use your normal emergency calling service.
Automated translations can contain errors: verify important information before acting on it.
Optional backup, media and third-party features may have additional terms and storage requirements. Keep copies of information you need; restoring every message or file may not always be possible.
Connectivity, purchases and charges
Your mobile operator or internet provider may charge for data used by Reach. Any connectivity package, top-up or other paid service is subject to the price, allowance, validity period and provider terms shown before purchase.
Accepting these app terms alone does not authorise a purchase or recurring payment. Review the specific offer before confirming.
Where wallet and voucher features are available, check the amount, recipient or account, and transaction details before confirming. Keep vouchers and account credentials secure and report suspected unauthorised transactions promptly.
Refunds, cancellations, voucher validity and any restrictions on wallet balances must be disclosed in the applicable service terms and remain subject to law; these app terms do not make balances non-refundable or remove statutory remedies. Applicable cancellation, refund and consumer rights continue to apply.
Beta features and availability
Reach may include beta features that are still being tested. Features may change, be interrupted or contain faults. Keep the app up to date and report problems through support.
We will take reasonable steps to maintain the service but cannot promise uninterrupted availability or compatibility with every device or network. Any mandatory service-quality rights remain in force.
Reach software and third-party services
Reach and its licensors retain rights in the app, branding and software. You may use the app for its intended purposes under these terms. Do not copy, sell or modify it, or reverse engineer it except where the law permits.
Third-party platforms, networks and services remain subject to their own applicable terms and privacy notices.
Suspension and ending use
You may stop using Reach at any time. Uninstalling the app does not automatically close your account or cancel a separate paid service; use the applicable account or provider support process.
Reach may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address misuse, security risks or legal requirements. Where lawful and practical, we will explain the reason and how to contact support.
Suspension does not remove rights to refunds, complaints or other remedies provided by law.
Responsibility and your rights
Each party is responsible for its own conduct as required by applicable law.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or limits mandatory consumer or privacy rights.
In particular, these terms do not require you to waive statutory protections or excuse fraud, wilful misconduct or gross negligence. Any other limitation applies only to the extent permitted by law.
Changes to these terms
The version and date above identify these terms. We will make revised terms available in the app and give appropriate notice of material changes.
Where fresh acceptance is required, we will request it before the changes apply to your use. Changes do not remove rights you have already acquired.
Questions and complaints
Contact Reach using the support options available in the app for account questions, complaints or questions about these terms. You may also use any regulator, court or dispute-resolution process available under applicable law.
These terms are governed by South African law, subject to any mandatory protections that apply in your place of residence. Nothing here prevents you from seeking those remedies.
